That was cool, Bryan Adams seemed quite excited about Theo’s piano playing. That was really fun to watch his reaction.

I loved Theo’s duet, I had actually been hoping all along that he and Drew would do a Wham! song, so I thought it was funny that he came up with this duet idea.
It would have been a kick to see the two of them wearing 80’s flourescent t-shirts, singing a Wham! tune (I just can’t get over how much Theo reminds me of George Michael).
I was also curious as to where he was going when he started to walk all around the stage, I think that maybe he should have had more interaction with his singing partner then instead.

I was so amazed when I heard this song yesterday, I had no idea George Michael had such a beautiful voice.

Mariah Carey will bring her incredible voice to the Canadian Idol stage performing live on the star-studded two-hour finale Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 8 pm ET.

The most successful female artist of all time will be joined by John Legend, Hedley, reigning Idol champ Brian Melo and Jully Black.

The Results Show will reveal the winner of Canadian Idol, after the Top 2 battle it out one last time Monday, Sept. 8 at 9 pm ET. For the second year in a row, Canada’s new Idol will be male, with four men remaining in the competition.

Drew was much improved this week. I loved his choice of a children’s song (maybe he’ll have a future career in children’s music). Very nice.

A beautiful performance by Theo of ‘You Don’t Know Me’, he was so much better this week as well. I really loved Theo’s 2nd performance of the night ‘Chariot’. I didn’t care much for the leg up on the piano in this (or in any other performances of his), the jump at the end was a great finish though. Good one, Theo!

I didn’t care for Earl’s first performance but the ‘The Joker’ was a great song choice for him. Right on, Earl!

“I’ve never been much of a breakfast guy to be honest … usually the mornings are pretty slow, I’m trying to get going and then I’m good and hungry for lunch,” said Mitch.

“I don’t even get time to eat breakfast really,” said Mookie. “I think my secret is chocolate milk in the morning.”

“I don’t really eat breakfast and ever since I’ve been on this show I’m in a constant state of nervousness and my stomach does not cooperate in the morning,” said Theo with a laugh. “But if I do eat in the morning I’ll have (one of those two things).”

“Sometimes in the morning I don’t really feel like eating but if I have breakfast (it will be one of those things), not all of them,” said Drew.

Mookie is slated to give a special concert at Toronto BuskerFest on Friday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the CTV Stage at Front and Market streets.

Toronto BuskerFest runs from Thursday, Aug. 21 to Sunday, Aug. 24 on Front Street between Church and Jarvis streets (adjacent to the St. Lawrence Market).

 Amberly is gone, yay!! But come on, Mitch still isn’t bottom three?

Next week – Beatles week and the songs are judges choice.

Then the week after will be Anne Murray, so Anne Murray week with no females.

What’s this? Can it be? It is!

It’s true, Zack actually said something critical about Amberly. I ran outside to see if the world was indeed ending, but no, apparently he has just come to his senses. It’s about time he realized, that while she does have a pleasant voice with a touch of something unique, she’s simply not good enough to be a Canadian Idol and is certainly not unusual enough to make the buying public go out an buy a record. She’s like Lisa Loeb light, and we all no how well her career is doing… I wonder if Theresa Sokyrka is looking for a backup singer.

Overall tonights performances were just terrible. I was hoping Earl would sing a Blue Rodeo song, but instead he showed us how much he can destroy a Tragically Hip song.

Goodbye, Mark!! I really have to wonder why on earth Mitch is still there though? He’s the definitely worst one left, I can’t even stand to watch him at all. Why isn’t he at least in the bottom 3 this week instead of Theo and Earl?

Well, It’s finally Sebastian, he looked genuinely shocked last week when Katherine was eliminated instead. I’m sure he was hoping to be the one to go this week, after last week’s comments from the judges. “You look great…” over and over, by the time Farley was through with his comment, Sebastian just looked so completely frustrated.
